There are few things better than a punt return for a touchdown. A punt returned for a touchdown on "Monday Night Football?" Well, that's gold, Jerry. Gold!
The anticipation of a lane opening up. The shiftiness and speed of the punt returner when the lanes do open up. The evasion. The athleticism. The adrenaline.
It's a beautiful thing, and that's exactly the package we got on "MNF" with the New York Jets taking on the Los Angeles Chargers.
Chargers wideout Derius Davis took a punt back all the way to the end zone just a few minutes into the game.
It looked like this:

For as satisfying as a punt return touchdown is, the confirmation of "no flags" really seals the deal when it comes to highlights. Well, that is unless you're a fan of the Jets.
Davis, a rookie, was drafted out of TCU in the fourth round (pick No. 125). With just seven catches for 38 yards and no touchdowns heading into the game, the return was undoubtedly the highlight of his young career.
