T.J. McConnell scored 10 points on Wednesday night to miss his over by 0.5. Pain. All we can do is pick ourselves up off the mat and go back for more on Thursday night, so let's go right back to the NBA playoffs for our Look of the Day.
The Mavericks ended up getting smoked by the Oklahoma City Thunder, 117-95, in Game 1, but it was much closer than the final score indicates. Dallas was in the game until the fourth quarter when it couldn't make a shot and scored only 16 points.
The Thunder, on the other hand, shot the lights out all game. Oklahoma City shot 16-35 from three (45.7 percent), including 8-14 (57.1 percent) from its bench. The Mavericks hold their opponents to 36.9 percent from deep, so that performance is going to be hard to replicate in Game 2.
We're expecting Dallas to bounce back with a better showing on Thursday night, which is something this team has done all season. The Mavs are 21-13 against the spread coming off a loss this year. That's the fourth-best mark in the NBA. Dallas is also the best ATS team in the league on the road, as it's gone 29-16 against the number in away games.
Don't be surprised if the Mavericks even up the series on Thursday night.
